Gift keeps on giving

Have you joined the Healthy Trucking Association yet? After writing about the HTAA in previous months, I was asked this simple question: “Andy, have you personally joined the HTAA?” I had not.
     Since I was asked that question, I now have! Since we are the official publication of the HTAA, I made it a priority to familiarize myself with the program as much as possible and find out how our audience can use the HTAA on a daily basis. Since receiving my membership kit in the mail, I’ve already saved a total of $34 in prescription medications, accessed the 24-hour nurse hotline and now know where to go to order flowers for special occasions. I can safely say that personally, my membership has already paid for itself and then some.
     I was delighted to hear from several people who bought their truck-driving dads an HTAA membership; what a great gift that certainly keeps on giving.
     I have thoroughly enjoyed speaking about and learning more about the HTAA and the individual success stories people have experienced with it. As time goes by, I’m confident many more of us will have similar stories. When I got a call from a mother who called to inform me that the HTAA program now allows her to afford her son’s asthma medication, that’s all I needed to hear to know that the HTAA is on to something good.
