Driven Women

A sexy competent co-driver

I asked 108 men and women drivers (because I can’t count to ten more than ten times) if they had one wish, what it would be. You’d have thought I inquired about secret fantasies and desires. An amazing 60% wished for a sexy, competent co-driver, while only 5% mentioned more time at home. Wow is right!

Following is an overview of the desires I learned about in this informal survey. Here’s what these drivers want:

60% A competent co-driver who is preferably sexy, or at least

interested in sex

18% More high-end truck stops

10% No more log books and weigh stations

7% Better company or dispatcher, improved rates or equipment

5% More time at home

Jamie, a 34 year-old, female solo driver said, “I get great miles, I haul for a good company and I don’t hate my dispatcher, but I’m lonely. It would be great to meet a man who can drive, think and talk.” Good luck with that, Jamie.

Scott, a 55-year-old trainer said, “If my wife drove, I wouldn’t be spending time with these guys, that’s for sure. But if you know of any good looking lady drivers who want to drive with a good guy GG, I’m available!” No, no I don’t Scott.

Erick, a 38-year-old owner-operator wished for a company that had women dispatchers, because they’re more understanding, better organized and better flirts. I was with you until the end, Erick.

I’ve come to the conclusion that being in a truck too long is like living in solitary confinement. Unless you have a balanced life outside the truck, you’re bound to lose it.

Here’s hoping your wishes come true in 2006—Happy New Year!

GG
